Several months ago, Cottages and Gardens magazine, featured this spectacular house. The amazing attention to detail here really drew me in. All of the finely crafted wood mill work and beams, the inspiring vignettes and the deep set windows with diamond shape mullions were a few of my favorites. But, the best design detail by far, (as seen in the last image here) is the secret interior window connecting the two daughters' bedrooms. The paintings in each of the girls' rooms opens up to reveal a personal little spot for quick sisterly advice and borrowed clothes, so sweet!

That is the sweetest thing! Goodness I want that for my daughters (and sons!)
ReplyDeleteThat window is such a sweet concept. Growing up my sister and I had an extra door between our rooms. It wasn't decorative and it wasn't hidden. Just another way for me to annoy her!
