A recent Spring purge and cleaning of my closet led me to rediscover these lovely little Hermes Cartes A' Nouer, or Hermes Knotting Cards. Ironic, since I was actually searching for my own lightweight scarves... a great way to dress in these up coming transitional months. I don't know if would actually wear many of these suggested styles, but they are so pretty to look at. Do you tend to stick with the basics when it comes to scarves, or do you play it up, just like these cards?

It's funny, I just saw 2 women in nyc wearing the head scarf, trend. it looks so pretty on them...not sure for me, stick with this it as a belt! beautiful scarves.
ReplyDeleteTend to stick with the basics, how dull of me! Nicolex
ReplyDeleteVery cool... love the black paired w/ the white jeans! xo
ReplyDeletelove!!
ReplyDeleteI keep scarves around my neck, but love to see women who are creative with them!
ReplyDeleteI wore one yesterday - with bees, spiders and bugs all over it....in honor of spring. Scarfe diem is my motto.

That is wonderful that you showed us how to ::
ReplyDeleteThe black scarf with the tassels is gorgeous.
I am sure I am a follower, it was when you first came on the net. I looked ans see Splendora, and karena. You do not have me on your side bar either. yvonne
LOVE the first photo! i need some headscarves for the summer. xoox jcd
ReplyDeleteI love to play with mine. I can't really pull off the halter look, though I adore it. You'll often see me with mine tied around as a belt. Love all these chic looks!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I've gotten away from these types of scarves, but perhaps it's time to bring them out again - thanks for the inspiration..
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how many times I have looked at these creative photos!! I adore scarves and wear one almost every day for 3 seasons. I do try and mix it up but draw the line at actually attire!
ReplyDeleteI love it worn as a belt or a halter! xx

ReplyDeleteI love that you can use it in so many different ways!
ReplyDeleteI love scarves as halters! I'm not into the head cap but I would wear it as a pony-tail accessory! Oh, and I even use them as runners on my table for a punch of color and pattern. Great post!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty traditional when it comes to my scarves, but love the idea of tying one as a belt!
ReplyDeleteI love scarfs. I tend to wear them a lot since I'm always chilly.
ReplyDeleteI'm normally really boring with them, but have rocked them as a belt in the past.
I do like the idea that scarves are so versatile! As belts and halter tops etc I think they are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAdore the head wrap, and belting jeans or capris! The one shoulder looks great don't know if I can pull it together , so it won;t slip, etc.

I've definitely started wearing more scarves lately, but I've still basically stuck with the "put it around your neck" option.
ReplyDeleteThe second look cracks me up. I totally would have done this in college. In fact I wore less.
ReplyDeleteNot so much anymore. I prefer scarves around my neck, or maybe as a belt.
I definitely rock the belt look often! And absolutely would have rocked the "my scarf = my shirt" look in college. Too funny! I wished I could be as bold as J Lo and do the scarf around the head look! Too pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I need some scarves in my life! What a great and underutilized accessory.
ReplyDeleteI have drawers full of scarves but can never get around to wearing them. Need to start getting more creative!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I'd definitely do the belt and definitely would love to try some of these other ideas- scarves are just so gorgeous-I hate not using them enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm so basic...wishing I could play it up more like the cards!!
ReplyDeleteI have definitely worn it as a bandeau(back in my skinner-washboard abs days) that was sniffle sniffle...too many years ago. But have a few Hermes scarves and they looked beautiful with a tan, and white pants....very chic. The most I would do now is wear them through belt loops which always looks great and tied onto the end of my birkin bag. A scarf is a great investment because they are so classic and timeless. Enjoyed the post.
ReplyDeleteI usually keep it pretty simple with scarves, but I do adore those Hermes knotting cards! Such a great way to be creative with my staple scarves.

I'd LOVE to be able to pull off wearing a scarf on my head. Maybe - just maybe - I'll go for it this summer! Great post! xo
ReplyDeletei tend to wear scarfs just around my neck but I want to try out the belt idea
ReplyDeleteWhat a handy dandy thing to have! lOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteLOve the Woven Flower Print Scarf in purple .
ReplyDeleteI've worn scarves as belts but if I tried to wear mine as a garment....the look wouldn't be pretty :)
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting -- I love scarves (the prints, the beautiful fabrics) but I never wear them. My mom has a gorgeous collection....perhaps I should borrow and start experimenting!
ReplyDeleteLove wearing my Hermes around my head in the spring and summer... makes me feel instantly chic!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! love all these fabulous ways to wear hermes!

When I was younger I would wear the halter look. Today I just stick with them as neck wear and as belts. Really good post....k
ReplyDeleteHow cool is this?? I would die to own an Hermes scarf ... one day!!

Lovely! I wonder what else lays in the depth of your closet. When I unearthed mine there are only old t-shirts hidden somewhere....
ReplyDeleteSo chic it makes my teeth hurt! Oh to be so effortless!
ReplyDeleteSad to say I use my scarves the basic way although these photos make me want to experiment!
