  5. Yay! Love it!!

Crate and Barrel has some great pieces for the home at reasonable prices...we bought all our furniture for our apt. there :D

  7. Great lamp, I have used this style of lamp for a client and we placed some coloured decorator balls inside the base. I love finding designer pieces at everyday prices, the effect will still be the same.

  8. Oh yeah! And honestly, I prefer the C and B one, it has more character! XX!

  9. i'm ALL about the cheaper versions! - if i were to be able to 'afford' the designer labels, maybe i'd go that route - but most likely id' still go the cheaper way!

  16. Ha ha, great job in finding a cheaper substitute! I would never pay almost $2000.00 for a lamp!

  17. Love that Stones song (I was humming along as I read your post) & the Crate and Barrel lamp.

  18. Exactly! I can't even believe that first one is almost $2,000!! Spending that much on a lamp would end my fall boot craze for many years to come!

  19. $1,600 on a lamp, that is just madness!! I like the C&B one better too.

  22. I went to the Saladino showroom last night at the What's New, What's Next event at the New York Design Center and it was gorgeous! Were you there? I have to say this is a great comparison, and definitely living luxe for less! I would be very happy to have this CB lamp in my home. Great find!

  39. I really prefer the taper of the C&B version...and why is the other so $$!?!?! Is it made of crystal instead of glass?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I actually like the CB version a lot better. The John Saladino is too bulky in my opinion. I think the CB version looks more feminine. I like that. -c

  49. You know what I always think? WHO THE F has that kind of money?!?! I know, I know - someone does, but geezus, just give it a little bit of thought and creativity and things always pop up for less!

    Love the lamp.
