You can't always get what you want,
but if you try sometimes,
you just might find
you just might find
THAT...
{Crate and Barrel Zak Lamp}
$219.00
you get what you need!
and
for $1,381.00 LESS
oh yeah!
oh yeah!
Wow...I think I like the C&B lamp more...even if they were the same price!
ReplyDeleteI really love them both...But I would go with the second one too:)
ReplyDeleteKisses and have a lovely first day of Autumn:)
Wow, for the price difference I will go for the Crate and Barrel version, pretty darn close too! xo
ReplyDeleteFun comparison....love the lines on the CB one.
ReplyDeleteYay! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteCrate and Barrel has some great pieces for the home at reasonable prices...we bought all our furniture for our apt. there :D
I definitely like the lines of the second one better despite it being less money. See you tonight!
ReplyDeleteZhush...you are so clever.
ReplyDeleteGreat lamp, I have used this style of lamp for a client and we placed some coloured decorator balls inside the base. I love finding designer pieces at everyday prices, the effect will still be the same.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! And honestly, I prefer the C and B one, it has more character! XX!
ReplyDeletei'm ALL about the cheaper versions! - if i were to be able to 'afford' the designer labels, maybe i'd go that route - but most likely id' still go the cheaper way!

Clearly....style doesn't have to cost a fortune! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI DO love my Crate and Barrel! Great find, as always!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! And I actually prefer the shade on the Crate & Barrel lamp! :)
ReplyDeleteThat song won't get out my head now, you come up with some of the greatest stuff!
ReplyDeleteTHAT would do :)
ReplyDeleteLove that! I love the comparisons!
ReplyDeleteGreat find! Love your "That, Not This" finds.
ReplyDeleteI definitely like the Crate and Barrel one more! And I love how you added some Rolling Stones to the post!
ReplyDeleteGreat find and great song!
ReplyDeleteI'd take THAT in a heartbeat! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHa ha, great job in finding a cheaper substitute! I would never pay almost $2000.00 for a lamp!
ReplyDeleteLove that Stones song (I was humming along as I read your post) & the Crate and Barrel lamp.
ReplyDeleteExactly! I can't even believe that first one is almost $2,000!! Spending that much on a lamp would end my fall boot craze for many years to come!
ReplyDeletegood find! Love that c&B one!
ReplyDelete$1,600 on a lamp, that is just madness!! I like the C&B one better too.
ReplyDeleteSO contemporary and chic!

Awesome! I love Crate and Barrel! Did you know they also have an outlet store? Cha-ching!
ReplyDeleteI went to the Saladino showroom last night at the What's New, What's Next event at the New York Design Center and it was gorgeous! Were you there? I have to say this is a great comparison, and definitely living luxe for less! I would be very happy to have this CB lamp in my home. Great find!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love Crate and Barrel!:D

I think I saw "THAT" at Homesense the other day!
ReplyDeletewowza! price difference is amazing. Second one is my fave!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that crate and barrel lamp, I think its actually so much cuter than the more expensive one! tres chic!
ReplyDeletenow that's a deal! i love the look, the super thin cord running down the interior of that lamp. i actually like the shape of the glass better in the cheaper lamp design. really i do! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Zak lamp. It's so versatile...you can use it in any style room. Plus, the $200 price tag is pretty nice!
ReplyDeletegreat find! can't believe I actually like the less expensive one better -- that almost never happens!
ReplyDeleteGreat shopping! I think either Arhaus or Ethan Allen might have one too at reasonable prices!
ReplyDeletei love finding good knock offs. that's so my thing. nice find.
ReplyDeletelike the design:)

The less expensive one definitely works for me!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Crate & Barrel lamp is better! Thanks, I'm going to order two for my dining room sideboard!
ReplyDeletexo
Right on! Such finds are just brilliant and I actually like the shape even better!
ReplyDelete:) Victoria
I really prefer the taper of the C&B version...and why is the other so $$!?!?! Is it made of crystal instead of glass?
ReplyDeleteI actually like the CB version a lot better. The John Saladino is too bulky in my opinion. I think the CB version looks more feminine. I like that. -c
ReplyDeleteYours is wayyyyyy more gorgeous! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteCindy
xo
LOve this!! Can you imagine paying that much for a lamp?? I love your alternative.
ReplyDeleteNancy
I would say you're definitely on the right side of the looking glass! Light bulbs...they are meant to be turned on :) XO, Kelly
ReplyDeleteWow. Not a good comparison for Saladino is it?
ReplyDeleteNot just cheaper, the second one looks better too! Yes, it's worth while to investigate a little - well done!
ReplyDeleteNow you're talking our language!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Liz
I like the C&B one BETTER! Save your moola!
ReplyDeleteWow amazing price difference! I prefer the Crate & Barrel one because I think it has more interest with the shape of the glass.
ReplyDeleteI think I actually like the crate one better! and for 1300 dollars cheaper, its one hell of a deal!
ReplyDeleteYou know what I always think? WHO THE F has that kind of money?!?! I know, I know - someone does, but geezus, just give it a little bit of thought and creativity and things always pop up for less!
ReplyDeleteLove the lamp.
