While not my usual aesthetic, House of Hackney, a new east London based interiors company, has absolutely caught my eye. Designed to break the rules of traditional English designs in order to appeal to a new generation, House of Hackney has been described as "Colefax and Fowler on acid." And, with wallpapers that depict sloths smoking hookahs and badgers drinking cocktails it's easy to see why. What's your take on this cheeky approach to mad hatter style?

It's eye catching for sure. Not quite the look we prefer... a little to busy.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for a little rule breaking, and love the wild side of English style.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Very British indeed!
ReplyDeleteI've been following them as well! While a little out there, they have a fabulous art/creative director. Their campaigns are incredibly well done!!
ReplyDeleteA little thick and heavy for my taste but always great to see something away from the decor norm!
ReplyDeleteHA! Great minds- had them planned for tomorrow- love that black wallpaper and adore finding out about new wallpaper lines:)
ReplyDeleteA little too much going on for me, but have to say that first photo is a stunner!
ReplyDeleteVery eye catching. It is my style, just ten times what I would want. But I love the photographs. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love it, although still a bit frilly for my southern cal aesthetic, but I'm glad someone's doing it and I'm all for the fun!
