Since I was familiar with the Buck House store, in New York City, I decided to check out the web site. Aside from an amazing collection of furnishings and artwork, I stumbled upon these creative tableaus, under a section entitled "The Designer's Eye". Gazing at these lovely ensembles is like taking a crash course in arranging "picture perfect" vignettes. The relationship of the objects to each other, the varying heights, the sense of whimsy involved...it all seems to come together beautifully, creating "real life" still lifes!

getting an arrangement correct is part science and part intuition...and when done well, just gorgeous...as are these images..

ReplyDeleteBeautiful images and love the styling. I just place things that I love and they just seem to work.
ReplyDeletePeople ar always asking how to arrange a vignette on a chest, a coffee table,etc..and I believe there is no one "formula" but its the gathering of interesting and beautiful objects that mean something to you and finding an order for them to be placed..have found that when you love something, you end up doing the right thing and it just comes together....of course you need to play a bit, which is part of the fun. These above are beautiful examples and great ideas/inspirations!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous with so much detailing! I am loving each of them.
ReplyDeleteI love that orange vase! So pretty.

Just gorgeous - I wish I were better at creating vignettes. It's a talent that my Mom has, but I didn't seem to get - lol!
ReplyDeleteFantastic styling! It looks so perfect as if it took no effort but of course, that's never the case.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I've been to Buck House but not her website. Always looking for a little arranging inspiration.

Love the purple tufted bench!
ReplyDeleteYes definitely. What a feast for the eye. I love it when rooms are approached in a 'canvas like' manner.
ReplyDeleteAlso think the walnut chairs (the tall ones with ladder backs) are wonderful!
