Isn't that the truth!!I just bought today a comfy black dress which you can dress up, wear under jeans or just casual. I think I might go back and get another one.
This is a great colection of black. However that said if I see another pair of black leg ins I think i would die. Even though it is a classic, can North Americans please bring some colour into their winter outfits!
I'm with on black...love it in interiors and fashion! Must say the egg chair in the second photo is dreamy! The dining chairs in the Elle Decor shot are fabulous! The office is dark, but clean and crisp...loving it lots!!
Great, great, great! My sons room is all black. We did a cute space room about 2 years ago. I don't tell most people his room is black b/c there is this dark image that people dream up in their heads. It's actually very neutralizing and he has great natural light in his room, so it looks great.
I LOVE any time Aerin Lauder's home is featured in a publication!!
I'm loving me some black lately. I just painted my powder room a super dark gray/blue/black. Still can't figure out what color it actually is - it's got a fitting name - Mysterious by Benjamin Moore!
Oh man, you've gone and posted my favorite home office on earth....what a tease ; ) That bedroom is where it's AT! Oh black, my beloved, the very reason I chose "Nero" as my pen-name. But only after I realized "Noir" had been beaten to death. Love all the impossible stilettos too ; )
catching up with you this morning and have to say I just flat love your style girl, it is always so much fun to see what you find interesting. I feel like I've been to the big city for the day, thanks!
yup. i find myself attempting to wear color now and then and sometimes i actually succeed ;) but black, i resort back to it, time and time again. it makes me feel good, it's easy, it's complicated, it's all of those things. it's perfect really right?
Ah yes, Noir, noir and more noir...love it, timeless, elegant, edgy, cool...everything. Great post, thanks. Have a great end of week, Love from London x
Couldn't agree more... What's not to love about a sleek black outfit - timeless! Cheers. j www.gfinkfamily.blogspot.com www.simplified-design.blogspot.com
i need to move back into the city.....i miss it, The first picture is my favorite...i of course, love black, it's my no brainer easy way to dress!! amen - i agree - great post!
I'm all about black with clothes, since I wore a school uniform until I was 18. But not in my house. There is enough dark on the floor and in the rafters for me. In the middle, I want color. High Point was gray scale on steroids, again. The break out is coming. The West Coast, and Florida always have color, outside, but when all the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray, I've gotta have color! Best, Liz
There was a time, a long time ago now, when I was in design school and I wore nothing but black, head to toe. I loved it. I stood out and blended in all at the same time. I could go back to that in a heartbeat. Always in style, always chic.
So true, so true! Black is my go to color! In our last house I painted the downstairs powder room's ceiling and far wall black, the other walls were white with a black and white tile floor. It's where I kept my scottie dog collection. I wish I had taken pictures because it was really striking. Sometimes a glossy black wall is all you need :o)
Oh yes! I don't think that I could ever tire of black -- so so beautiful and elegant. Wonderful inspiration, lovely lady. I hope your week has been a great one,
I love black, it's so chic. I love the photo of Olivia, but hate her shoes, they are awful - love her bag. Love the oxford shoes in the fifth image. Hugs
