While I still love a disco nap,
and even some disco fries...
these days,
I don't really do
the night club thing anymore...
However....
Whether you're a brother
whether your a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive
Feel the city breakin'
And everybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive
stayin' alive
ah ha ha ha
stayin' alive!
~*~
I need to figure out
where I can make a disco ball
work in my own house!
Last day....giveaway!
and even some disco fries...

A powder room would be fun.
ReplyDeleteOh what gorgeous finds! So lovely! xx
ReplyDeletelovely, funny enough we have a disco-esq ball in our reception room. I love it, will miss it when we move, no room for modern in our new rustic house. Love the alcove picture as well.
ReplyDeleteLove waking up to disco balls and the Bee Gees..does it get any better? Everybody needs a little sparkle...
ReplyDeleteI like this little treasure disco ball. My friend has one in her room for years. I do hope you find the perfect spot. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love them juxtaposed with the vintage interiors. Quirky!
ReplyDeleteLove them! What fun for a childs room! That first image... Oh my, can you see some Quartermaine fabrics here and there?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration, gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy Monday!! XO
Nothing like the Bee Gees and a disco ball to start my Monday off right!

How fun to see these in home settings.
ReplyDeleteReally, really cute. Lucy has one hanging in her room! Really fun.
ReplyDeleteI like the disco balls are just so subtle but so chic in these rooms!
ReplyDeletei had NO idea that this was even out there in people's homes. and you know what? it can look really elegant! this was great!!! how fun!!! i am in love with the pink and white room with the dark grey grasscloth walls.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have expected it to look so good with the antiques, but it works! I think I like it better than with the more modern furnishings. And I never would have thought I was a disco ball girl ... hmmm ...
ReplyDeleteThe picture that is fourth from the bottom - I'm pretty sure that originally appeared in the latest Lonny and I have to tell you, I obsessed over that whole house and I NEVER noticed the disco ball! GREAT eye! Cool touch in so many different types of spaces...
ReplyDeleteWow, I never thought I wanted a Disco Ball until now...boogie wonderland!

You are a brave lady! I love the looks you've posted -- Especially the second, but I just don't think I could ever bring myself to put a disco ball in my house! Hehe ...
ReplyDeleteNever thought I would ever say that they can look good. They do, especially in the first picture
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a disco ball... My mom wouldn't let me have one as a 10-year-old, no matter how much I pleaded (apparently she thought they were tacky? Pssshhh). These rooms are very, very cool; I like how the ball was used in the second photo.

Fantastic images. I love the black and pink room with the disco ball - the black could have been so serious, but instead the room is a ton of fun.

Fun, fun, fun!! You need a disco ball because you are such a fun loving spirit. I really like them sitting more than hanging. It feels more unexpected. I think it would be totally cool to put different sized ones inside the fireplace in the summer months, what a conversation piece!! Happy Monday, stayin' alive, stayin' alive hmmmm, hmmmm!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! Do I hear Gloria Gaynor in the background... Great post for a Monday!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! If I had one in my house I would crank the music and dance all the time! I've even seen them for Christmas trees.
ReplyDeleteGood eye to catch all these disco balls! These images show they can work in any space, who would have thought?

I totally love how these are worked into such unexpected places -- I say put one anywhere, it seems like it would work (even if only because it's such a bold move!).

ReplyDeleteThat's 1 of the many reasons I love paintballing... people never think I do it. It's so unexpected. So mysterious. Haha. :)
What took me so long to find you. Well, I guess not so long. I've only lifted this blogger rock two months ago. Addictive!! Love your blog. And, Now I love disco balls. I, too, have seen many of these images and never noticed (some) of the disco balls. They are unbelievably cool in the more ornate and traditional rooms, like the first and 4th. And boy do I love that 5th. That should be my house, all pinky like that. I am going to do a post on how sophisticated pink is and I think I'll use this photo. (I'm learning to tag it with the credit immediately). Thanks for the inspiration!
