ReplyDeleteYou and I must be on the same wavelength - I was just gathering ideas on a post on our favorite garden stools for later this month. We love them as accents and as furniture - they're not just for the garden any more!
ReplyDeleteRight beside the tub- perfect! I used to be the buyer for a major destination garden center. After a long week in Atlanta- the garden stools started to arrive back at our showroom... I had purchased dozens~ all different-all gorgeous. I remember getting an eye-roll from the owner... and they were gone in a week. My turn for the eye-roll!
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like that first more modern one. Lots of good options!
ReplyDeleteThese are all gorgeous! I think these ceramic stools add a bit of glamour and make a room look finished. Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want to go buy garden stools!
ReplyDeleteyep I've been wanting a garden stool for a long time for the new living room. Just cant decide if I should go shapely and white and cleaner and colorful....
ReplyDeleteI have one near the front door an antique terracotta lion that the outgoing mail is placed on til the next day. I love it and would love another 1 or 2. pgt

I like how the little stool fills up a corner just perfectly. I also like to bring the outdoor in and put things in a spot one would normally not. Enjoy! xo
ReplyDeleteLove these! Some really beautiful rooms here.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! And seeing them all over the place does not make me want one any less. Especially that blue pair in the second photo . . . perfect!
ReplyDeleteGarden stools are wonderful. I have three and love to have another one in white. One has a round glass atop it!

I love garden stools. Can not wait until I have more space in my home to put one! how cute would a hot pink stool be?
ReplyDeleteXOXO fallon
I have a hundred of those things scattered throughout the house. I think they just add some humpft to the room. Will ck your guest post this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me to get mine in gear for summer--it needs a bit of a cleaning (stuck in the garage all winter). I'll be popping by your guest post in a moment :)

ReplyDeletei cracked up when I read the post title!! love stools and how functional they are!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted one for my home. I wish you would show pictures of them in yours! Please? Anyway, the stool in the fifth picture is calling to me.

I love garden stools...still looking for the "perfect" one to add to my living room.
ReplyDeleteHeading over to FTRB now!
I think everyone needs a garden stool or two !
ReplyDeleteGot myself a garden stool last weekend. They are very useful, and since I'm fond of gardening, they do come in quite handy! Love the photgraphs of the first house, simply wonderful.

I have one that this summer is headed out to the deck.. I too love them :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteThose are called garden stools? I never knew that. I definitely like the more modern ones.
ReplyDeleteThese are like pillows for me - chinoiserie garden stools are insanely additive, colored like candy - and sadly, take up way more space. Lovely post on collected spaces at FTRB!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cement ones from Wisteria... My grandma has about 10 garden stools in her house. LOVE.
ReplyDeletei have one in teal, but those navy one are really hot . . . haven't seen any others like it. i really want those $20 white one everyone scooped up from big lots!
ReplyDeleteDarn it now I NEED my own! You have 5 gf?! Pass one over :)
ReplyDeleteGarden stools are really versatile - my mom is still chiding me about talking her out of one a year ago. I have to agree - my advise wasn't good! Love your photo choices, too, Sue - nice work, as usual.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love garden stools. They add such great pops of color and style
ReplyDeleteI've always loved these things. But what I really love in this post is the round hassock
ReplyDeletepushed under the contemporary table. Really pretty, very practical (which I am not BTW).
Lovely post, cookie.
Zhush this will shock you - I don't have one single garden stool. I love them...but not one. How is that possible?! I thought we were had completely parallel lives!!?!?!?! That's it. I'm getting some!

I too think garden stools are great additions to any room. I love them and have them!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! I'll have to tell Matthew because he's looking for a way to fill in this one corner and I think one of these would look SO great there! Any recommendations on where to find some nice ones?
ReplyDeleteIs there anyone who doesn't love a garden stool... pray tell!
ReplyDeleteI love them too, especially in a deep, rich colour like indigo. Homesense (Canadian equivalent of Homegoods) had some in different colours so must check and see if they are still there. Enjoyed your post at From the Left Bank.
ReplyDeleteWe are building a curbless shower in our bathroom and will be putting one stool in the shower instead of a built in bench thingy - so much more fun and interesting. White ceramic with hand painted cinnabar foo-dogs - lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit:) I love your header, everyone can use a little zush indeed! Nice photos, I especially like the one with brown and white, those are my favorite colors for furniture and home decorating. Great idea to put a garden stool inside!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! My mother is great about mixing up indoor with out outdoor furnishings -- I think that comes from being in AZ. The pictures are stunning, I am gaga over the bath, simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteYou have five garden stools?? I'm envious because I love them and there are so many beautiful ones out there! They are so practical too! I only have one currently but I can see myself getting to that point soon of having quite a few :)
ReplyDeletei know we're looking at garden stools but i can't help but LOVE the tuffted ottoman peaking out from the table in the 3rd to last pic.
