Beach Folly

I fell hard for this charming beach bungalow, designed by Amelia T. Handegan, and seen in last month's Architectural Digest.  Located in Folly Beach, South Carolina...the nerdy geek, English Major in me, can't resist the irony here.  One of the definitions for "folly" found in Webster's Dictionary is "a costly ornamental building with no practical purpose," hardly how I would describe this perfect beach retreat.  Quite the opposite, actually.

  2. I adore the idea of a beach bungalow. Bit like a luxury beach hut ? With more room and electricity and stuff. Brilliant. Just have to find one now....

  7. I used to go to Folly Beach almost everyday when I was in college in Charleston. It's definitely the most lowkey of the Charleston beach communities. Would love this bungalow!
