One Day Without Blues



Today is One Day Without Shoes, a campaign started by TOMS Shoes to raise awareness of the millions of children, growing up without shoes and therefore at risk for disease and infection.  To support this project, essie cosmetics joined forces with TOMS by creating this nail polish, aptly named "one day without blues" and no doubt helping everyone to go barefoot in style. I haven't been able to get my hands (or toes) on a bottle of this yet...but that didn't stop me from primping for today. Yesterday, I had a date with my favorite power couple:

{a combo of sugar daddy + mademoiselle for my hands}
{topped off with a cocktail of peach daiquiri for my toes}

    I wish I could go barefoot...probably another boots day..ugh! But love Essie and use their products all the time, is the purple a new touch? Either it is and I am very astute or a total ditz for not realizing it sooner..lol. Thanks for making us aware of this wonderful cause. Love your "power couple".....

    I just put this on my toes.. It came in a Spring kit I bought and I thought it would be a fun change from what I normally wear. I would like to get a pair of Toms wedges for Spring! LOVE the purple background.... such a nice surprise. xo

    Not quite, but in open toe shoes, so it almost counts ;) Have mademoiselle on my hands, and "India love with you" (HOT pink) on my toes...

    I could have gone barefoot here on Sunday (80 degrees), but today it's back down to 40 degrees and unfortunately I have to go in a retail establishment where I think shoes are required. What a great cause though. My daughter would love that blue. I'm loving your peach daiquiri!

    Oh, and I love your new look - that extra bit of purple and the Greek key are perfect!

    We're doing a walk with out shoes at work today, and I'm spruced up with my favorite pink. Love Tom's.

    The "makeover" looks fabulous. Love the purple and the Greek key motif. Nice!

    I wish I could go barefoot but there's still snow here. I like the blue, might have to try it this summer but for now I'm more of a French manicure sort of gal...low key.

    First thing first....LOVE the updated look!!!!!!!! Perfection!!

    Second, my toes are definitely peeking out today....Essie Watermelon is my go to "toe" color!

    Love TOMS, their mission and all they do. Wanting some of their new wedges....as the only flats you'll usually seem me in are flip flops!

    Great synergy at work there - will have to check it out. I went yesterday and dipped my toes back into my favorite neutral spring color (Jazz) again until I can bare my toes and then I may have to try your pretty peach daiquiri.

    I love every single one of these colors!!! On one of the recent Ooh La Frou Frou posts, one of the girls painted her nails in an Essie color ... it was a lavender called "French Affair."     I am barefoot right now - wiggling my red toe nails and thinking of all those little tootsies out there who are walking around without shoes.
    As a mother I know just how miserable little feet are when they are cold, sore or generally in need of some comfy socks and shoes. I learned early on that when I feel sad I instantly feel better after I put socks on. Isn't it strange..? But there is some real comfort in covering ones feet isn't there.
