I usually wear J Brand flairs but on Friday I put on skinny jeans which I hadn't worn in ages, oh boy, they were torture, I think they are on death row now.
I have a pair of these flair-style jeans by seven-- love them...especially with my cowboy boots (which sounds so awful...but my cowboy boots are one of the best buys I have ever made...they really make an outfit and are so easy)...and I think a pointed toe boot looks great with these flair jeans! I still love my skinny jeans too...since I just have to pull on my riding boots...pull out a long shirt/sweater from my closet...and I am good to go! Take care, Caroline
Skinny Jeans reply, "You're going to miss me when you wear those cowboy boots and want to tuck me in them!" PS - I totally agree with you, but just could not resist this reply!
I have a new love with a Cabi jean, some home show order thing, the flaired ones are my most comfortable and flattering jeans. I get compliments that make my day quite often. Sometimes a compliment goes a long way! Love your blog by the way, I just got mine designed after a year in the blog world.
This jean looks far more comfy! More my style though I like my skinny jeans with tall boots - that's really the only way I like them though. they are kind of hard to wear.
Me either! But I am also not nearly tall enough or thin enough to ever pull them off! Even my teennage daughter who is a litlle bitty size 4 hated them. She said she couldn't stand how it felt like her calves were being squeezed!
These are so much more flattering. I've been wearing the flares all along. I tried a pair of the skinnys on once. Oh my...they didn't fit like they used to. Ha! Kelly
LOVE the first pair. I am not into skinny jeans either. Or is it my body is not into skinny jeans. Hum? I hope that you have a wonderful day, Sue. Teresa
I'm so glad you're tackling this important issue today! :-) I loved my skinny jeans until by mid-day when they stretched out and made my butt look all weird.
Ha! You're killin' me here! And from what I can tell from the glam shots scattered about the web, you could werk these bitches like no ones beeswax. Do post photos of yourself looking fab in flares ;) Alcira
Love, love, love wider leg jeans - I'm so happy they are chic again! I haven't hopped on board with the skinny trend (mostly because I never found a pair that flattered in any way). I think I will have better luck with finding this style, so flattering!
So well said, I think when your leg looks like a chicken leg from the KFC it is time to put the skinny jeans away. I have always worn a good old boot cut. Love the flairs also.Kathysue
love these jeans!!! i was never into skinny jeans, sorry!
check out my holiday cards giveaway - for the US and Canada!!! Contest ends December 1st! http://www.desiretodecorate.com/2010/11/giveaway-tis-season.html
I'm with you - so over the skinny jean (ha - not that I could ever pull it off) and I love a fuller leg. Figure flattering! More room for all the food I had over Thanksgiving!
Totally agree! Bootcut and flares look so much better on me - I'm just not tall and thin enough to make skinnies look flattering and not like tapered "mom" jeans! :)
you are so lucky...at least you got to break up with your skinny jeans... what is the saying " it's better to have loved and lost".... sadly, I kept trying to lose enough weight to get into skinny jeans... never happened. Have a pretty day!
Love this look! It's so fun that trends cycle isn't it? If fashion can't be fun, then what is it worth?? I have pics of my mom in jeans just like these :) Nancy xo
They look great in them, HOWEVER, they do not look good on everyone. I may have to try some on one of these days...even though i still love my skinny jeans... :))))))))
I agree, bring on the flair!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday :)

I have to agree with you although I have a couple of pairs. I still love my wide legs and boot cuts.
ReplyDeleteOh good, I was never too crazy about the skinny ones. These are kind of retro to the 70's (not that you would know but I do!). Good week. XO
ReplyDeleteI am with you!! Loving the hippie look of the giant flares!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!
ReplyDeleteSome space to breath............
Zhush,
ReplyDeleteI'm with you!
The flairs are so much more flattering (and comfortable!). For those of us who aren't 5'11 with endless legs, this is a much more forgiving look.

Is this the new trendy jean? Thank god. My thighs can't take another season of skinny pants.
ReplyDeleteThis jean looks far more comfy! More my style though I like my skinny jeans with tall boots - that's really the only way I like them though. they are kind of hard to wear.
ReplyDeleteLove this- the second pair are especially divine.
ReplyDeleteMe either! But I am also not nearly tall enough or thin enough to ever pull them off! Even my teennage daughter who is a litlle bitty size 4 hated them. She said she couldn't stand how it felt like her calves were being squeezed!
ReplyDeleteHehe, gotta find my flare jeans now too!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I'm ready! Janell
ReplyDeleteDear Zhush,

I am with you! I love my flared boot cut jeans... and wear them all the time!

I'm kind of over them too! Only wear them with boots :) Cute post.
ReplyDeleteOh.. I so agree.. I'm loving those images!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest- I wish I could wear skinny jeans just to show off my flats and boots. But these are a great consolation.
ReplyDeleteLove this look! And so fun with heels.
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you there. They are such high maintenance. I just want to be comfortable !
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're tackling this important issue today! :-) I loved my skinny jeans until by mid-day when they stretched out and made my butt look all weird.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that last outfit. LOVE.
