Sue, this might be my favorite post of yours yet, (besides the random Chanel items, that always make me smile)! You "nailed" it on this one... sorry, pun intended... couldn't resist. xo
Gorgeous inspiration, I just adore nailhead trim! The first picture is so chic, love the nailhead trimmed walls. And the atmosphere in the last bedroom is to die for!
Hey! Thank you for visiting us! Looove nailhead trim. Hooper has had her eye on those barstools for a client! Its all beautiful! We have been following your blog and love it! Come back to see us :) ...-Ann & Hooper (Birds of a feather Design)
I'm all over the nailheads- I have 4 pieces of furniture in my living room alone with nailhead detail- can't get enough!! That first picture is amazing:)
I haven't seen the images before with the nailheads on the walls and cabinets and I LOVE them! I love how unique they are! Thanks for sharing the inspiration.
I love, love, LOVE nailhead trim! It adds so much character to a piece of furniture, and looks great on walls too :-) I'm really liking it on the kitchen cabinetry in the third-to-last picture. Awesome look!
Have always loved nailhead trim - have it on many of my chairs - really is just that final finishing touch! I've always wanted to pad my swinging kitchen door and finish with nailhead trim!
Magnifique...that Bilhuber study up top tops my library love list. BTW, stop leaving us in the lurch -- when are you going to feature more delish-is shots of the Zhush manse? The living room teaser was too much to handle...Nero needs more. Cheers, Alcira
Totally agree, loving nailhead trip right now! I just got my Serena and Lily catalog in the mail, and I love their fabric headboards with the nailhead trim. It adds a little "edge" to their soft fabrics.
Is that a glossy ceiling I spy in the first picture *swoon*. I'm dying over the second to last picture, curved room, lots of windows - I want to move in now!
Oh wow- these all look so good, particularly the first and third photos. Unfortunately, my only experience with doing nailhead trim was on a custom made leather bathroom cabinet that somehow ended up looking more like a bad Denny's banquette than the Ralph Lauren-y "vintage" piece I was anticipating. I have never plucked up the enthusiasm to try it again...yet!
What great images you are showing us today, Sue! All new to me. And so inspirational. I have one yellow settee with nail heads. And I love it! But now I am thinking that a guest bed might need some. Really love that second image you are showing. The entire room.
wow, you are SOOO right! i adore nailheads, and love that detail shot of the nailhead trim running like molding around that bar/cabinet/built-in. i've been saving nailhead images for a while and some of these will definitely go in that file!
Yes nails are fabulous! A little 'Medieval' a little 'Rock'n'Roll'.. Love all your images - fabulous inspiration. Now if you excuse me, I am off to look for my hammer..!!
Yay!!! LOve love love! I especially love nailhead trim on headboards, how yummy. And I LOVE the idea of a pattern on the walls! The first time I ever saw this was a couple of weeks ago in the Kips Bay showhome photos online. What a creative idea. Nancy xo
